Selena
She was a designer, singer and performer and broke down barriers in the world of music. The Mexican-American singer was also traditional. She introduced Tejano into mainstream music. Similar to how many people mourn a star who died from their prime, the death of her was not a good time and ended the progress of her career. As a result fans are enthused over time to dig their heels even harder working to make sure her accomplishments won't be lost in the dust. The tragic shooting death of Selena provoked a response from the Latino Community, similar with the reactions to the death of Elvis Presley or John Lennon. Selena's music, a singer who was hugely popular throughout Latino communities throughout North America touched people young as well as old. Selena has been called by many as the Latina Madonna, but she's still an excellent role model. Selena's family values off stage and involvement with AIDS awareness efforts provide a great example.
